About Yanzhe

 

Yanzhe is a Technical Artist and Unity Developer, dedicating to Game and VR/AR experience. He graduated from MFA degree of Design and Technology at Parsons School of Design in 2020.

Yanzhe has earned a lot of experience from different projects and become a proficient C# programmer, so he is able to quickly create functional prototypes in Unity. He has been working on game development, multiplayer experience and AR/VR development. He has great knowledge of shading languages like CG and HLSL and deep understanding of materials, shaders, lighting and post processing effects in Unity. Real time shading like PBR, translucent and anime style is also included in some of his works. He also has some experience of character rigging and blend shapes animation, so he is familiar with 3d modeling software and Blender and Maya, as well as other tools like photoshop, substance painter and houdini. Besides, he often pays attention to graphic performance optimization, such as baking, simplified light models and batching.

Besides, design thinking gives him a lot of power when working on a project. From ideation to prototype and to iteration, he usually uses this cycle in his development work, and it helps him a lot because he can make sure he is on the right track and not falling in any technical rabbit hole. Therefore, he can consider both technical limitations and design perspectives.
